London bar Jim Bob Ray’s adding onsite brewery
London, ON – Jim Bob Ray’s, a bar on Richmond St. in London, is adding a basement brewery to their establishment, reports the London Free Press.
The bar’s owner, Mike Smith, has enlisted Tom Schmidt, a Czech-born brewer with brewing experience formerly at Labatt and currently Spearhead Brewing Co., to develop his recipes.
Smith says he will initially roll out his beers through Jim Bob Ray’s, then hopes to expand to other licensees in the area. He is working to broaden the appeal of the place for a daytime crowd, with craft beer and a bigger menu focused on locally produced food, says the London Free Press.
The range of beers would range from hoppy to light.
Launch dates were not immediately available.
