MERIT Brewing now open in Hamilton

Hamilton – MERIT Brewing Co. has opened its new Downtown Hamilton brewery and restaurant at 107 James St North.
Founded by Tej Jordan Sandhu, Aaron Spinney and Jesse Vallins, the brewery’s opening day will feature ten house beers on draught, a selection of local beer, cider and wine, a fully stocked retail store and growler bar, and sausages and snacks served in the kitchen.
“What else can you expect once you walk in? Friendly and knowledgeable staff that are passionate about beer, food, and Hamilton, as well as an immersive space that has the brewery in view everywhere you are in the taproom,” says MERIT.
The beer lineup includes Young Rival IPA, Chanan Dry Hopped Saison w. Orange Peel & Indian Coriander, Between Us Gose, Here & There Oat Pale Ale, Tomorrow’s Earl Grey Tripel and more to be announced.
A back patio is currently being constructed for a Summer launch.
Operating hours are Mon-Wed 11am-12am, Thu-Sat 11am-2am, Sun 11am-10pm.
