New changes to alcohol retailing start July 1
Toronto – As part of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario’s updates to the province’s Liquor License Act, new changes go into effect July 1, 2016.
Consumers will now be able to:
- Order beer and cider to-go while dining at the manufacturer’s restaurant – delivered to the table and added to your bill.
- Move freely through all spaces of a brewery, cidery or distillery while consuming beverages, including inside retail stores.
- Serve homebrewed beer and cider at broader range of family events under SOPs.
