New shoe shop and beer bar BackRoads opens in London
London – BackRoads Brews and Shoes is a new concept shop retailing running shoes and boasting a full craft beer tap room – it’s now open at 1295 Riverbend Road in London.
Founders Aaron and Emily Hendrikx are both ardent and accomplished runners.
“Aaron and I grew up running thousands of miles on country BackRoads. It built our grit, our passion for the outdoors, and our desire to be remarkable. Those tough backroad runs are the foundation in which our company stands on. Thats what BackRoads means to us; the beginning of a dream,” says Emily Hendrikx.
The tap room features an assortment of craft beer, wine, kombucha, cider, and coffee.
The shoe shop features a wide selection of runners and trailers, while the BackRoads Running Club is open to beginners and elites alike.
Additionally, the pair have also set up a hop yard in the area. They plan to sell hops to local brewers when their Cascade and Centennial come to fruition.
