Niagara Oast House Brewers taps artesian water well for farmhouse line
Niagara-on-the-Lake – Niagara Oast House Brewers says they have successfully drilled 110 feet tapping into an underground water source to be used in upcoming farmhouse-style beers.
“[We’ve] reached an abundant, ancient underground river likely dating back to the days of prehistoric glacial Lake Iroquois,” says Oast House.
“Each beer from Oast’s Farmhouse Ale Collection will be crafted with 100% natural, artesian well water,” they add.
Also sourced from Oast House’ nine acre property is a native yeast strain isolated in collaboration with Escarpment Labs.
The brewey also plans to begin the process of planting its onsite hop yard in the near future..
