Northern Breweries building, scheduled for demolition, in flames
A fire engulfed the century-old former Northern Breweries building in Sault Ste. Marie, which was scheduled for demolition next month, just after 4pm on Thursday afternoon.
Sault Fire Services were on site with two pumper trucks.
Founded by three families in 1907, Northern Breweries operated out of both Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie and produced beers such as Northern Ale, Cream Porter, and Silver Spray Lager.
