Northumberland County super collaboration beer announced
Cobourg – Northumberland County-based brewers, cideries, hop growers and malters will gather this April to collaborate on new beer, it was announced today.
Confirmed participants include:
Church Key Brewing of Cambellford
Empire Cider of Codrington
William Street Beer Co. of Cobourg
Bickle Farm – Valley Hops of Port Hope
Barn Owl Malts of Stirling
Pleasant Valley Hops of Hillier
“The beverage producers of Northumberland County believe strongly in the power of community and the fellowship of the industry. In that spirit the brewers, cideries, hop growers and maltsters of the region are coming together to create a truly local beer while celebrating a spirit of unity,” said the announcement.
The beer will be brewed at William Street Beer Co. on April 27, 2016 and will include all local ingredients such as barley, hops, apples, honey and more, all produced within 75km.
