Ontario Brewmaster’s Cup has a winner
The Ontario Brewmaster’s Cup came to a wrap last night as the celebratory awards party was hosted by The Rhino in Queen West.
To reiterate, The Ontario Brewmaster’s Cup, a competition between 16 of Ontario’s best beers, was founded with a distinct goal: to showcase the great beers being made in this province and to solicit public feedback to determine which of them might conceivably be crowned the best Ontario has to offer.
Out of the four finalists – Steam Whistle’s Pilsner, Muskoka’s Mad Tom IPA, Wellington’s Imperial Stout, and Denison’s Weissbier – the brewery to taking home the 2012 Ontario Brewmaster’s Cup was Toronto’s Steam Whistle Brewery.
Congratulations to the organizers, Greg Clow (Canadian Beer News), Ben Johnson (BlogTO), Crystal Luxmore (The Grid), and Jordan St. John (St. John’s Wort), for running a very successful new competition.
Look for the it’s return in 2013.
