Outspoken Brewing targets Q1 2014 opening in Sault St. Marie
Outspoken Brewing – new craft brewery opening in Sault Ste. Marie, ON – plans to launch in early 2014 at its location under development at 350 Queen Street East.
Outfitted with a 10 hectolitre brewhouse, the brewery, run by Sault locals Vaughn Alexander and Graham Atkinson, will focus on two core brands – Rabbit’s Foot IPA, named for its hopiness, and an unnamed blonde ale – according to an article published in SooToday. Seasonal beers will roll out over the following 12-18 months.
The brewery will be outfitted with a retail store offering Outspoken Brewing’s beer in growler and Boston round formats. At least 6 local establishments are on board to carry its beer on draught, according to SooToday.
“Alexander and Atkinson hope to capture the local event market by offering a fleet of ‘kegerators’, a portable beer keg system unique to Outspoken Brewing”, writes SooToday. “It’s not like buying a keg and using an air pump to draw the beer. It’s a complete CO2 system like the bars use,” Alexander tells SooToday. “It helps preserve the quality of the product right from the first pour to the last.”
