St. Catharines – Plan B Beer Works has announced it will open today – Friday, July 29, 2016 – at 174 St Paul St in downtown St. Catharines.

Founded by homebrewer John Coates and business partner Neil Wood, the nano-sized brewery offers a tap room and retail store with beer sales in cans – including a Canadian pale ale, IPA, ESB, Hefeweizen, and more.

“Plan B…. because sometimes plan A doesn’t always work out,” writes Coates.

“Initially the brewery was going to be called Short Hills Brewing Co. in Pelham, Ontario (AKA. Plan A) but after 6 months of road blocks and the complexities of building a production brewery in a rural area we took a step back, reviewed all the options and decided to pursue Plan B,” Coates adds.

Doors open today at 5pm.
