Porter returns from Beer Academy alongside first-ever cask

beer-academy-porterBeer Academy in Toronto, ON today announced the return of its original beer offering – Beer Academy Porter – a 4.9% ABV English-style Porter available in limited amounts beginning Thursday, October 24 through the brewery on draught, 1.89L growlers, and 625mL bottles.

“Its milk chocolate body and mocha head is a clear indication of what you should expect from this beer. Velvety roast with bakers chocolate, roasted chestnuts, coffee and a warm tootsie roll show up on the palate and aroma. Porter’s light alcohol but lush mouthfeel help add to it’s savoury-sweet and alluring character”, describes the brewery.

Additionaly, Beer Academy has introduced its first-ever cask-conditioned ale – Brewed Awakening – an Espresso Porter infused with 20 shots of espresso and a half-pound of coffee beans sourced from nearby Fahrenheit Coffee in Toronto.

Brewed Awakening Espresso Porter will be available starting Thursday, October 24 at Beer Academy in 4- and 12oz sizes with an additional cask making an appearance at Two Bite Saloon in Toronto for its Swine N Dine All You Can Eat Hog Roast on Sunday, October 27. An initial tasting of Brewed Awakening was part of Cask Days 2013.
