Purple Skull Brewing launches Purple Corn pale ale

Mattawa – Purple Skull Brewing Co. – a new brewer based out of Mattawa – has launched its Purple Pale Ale (4.0%) brewed using purple corn.

“Hundres of years ago, the purple corn crop was though to be sacred by the ancient Incan civilization. It’s been used as a natural dye for food and drinks all throughout history. The intense pigment comes from the corn’s high content of anthocyanin,” says Purple Skull Brewing.

Purple Pale Ale is currently available in 473ml cans through Highlander Brew Co. in South River by which the beer is brewed.
