Radical Road introduces barrel-aged Belgian ale The Wayward Son

radical-roadToronto’s Radical Road Brewing Co. will release this summer The Wayward Son, a Belgian-style golden ale matured in Ontario vineyard Pinot Noir barrels, exclusively to the LCBO.

the-wayward-sonUsing a combination of barley, wheat, oats and Belgian candi sugar the 7.5% ABV golden ale boasts notes of sour cherry, honey, bitter orange, oak, and spice. “Rebelliousness has led you here”, writes Radical Road, “a complex offering with a wayward spirit.”

Radical Road’s Simon Da Costa and Jon Hodd, both brewers at Toronto’s Black Oak Brewing Co., launched their first product, Canny Man, a 9.1% ABV Scotch whiskey barrel-aged wee heavy, in February of this year exclusively to the LCBO (#311829).

Housed in illustrated display boxes The Wayward Son will be available this July in 750 mL bottles at LCBO (#337345) at $10.95 each.
