Raft guides launch Whitewater Brewing along Ottawa River
In early June, Whitewater Brewing Co. opened its doors along the Ottawa River in Forester Falls, ON spearheaded by a group of three rafting guides.
“Our epiphany came on a rafting trip: The Ottawa Valley was already home to some of the best natural ingredients involved in creating true hand-crafted beer, as well as great people deserving of a local beer to share with friends’, say the brewers. “The next three and a half years took a lot of hard work, learning and living out of vehicles to get to where we are today.”
Whitewater Brewing’s product line includes Farmer’s Daughter, a blonde ale; Whistling Paddler, an English-style ale; Class V IPA; and an Oatmeal stout called Midnight Stout.
The Fletcher Road brewery offers 1.89l growlers through its retail store, open 7 days a week. Draught available currently at Wilderness Tours Rafting Co. in Forester Falls and Friscos Steak & Seafood in Eganville.
Whitewater Falls’ Midnight Stout will be on hand at SESSION Craft Beer Festival, the official closing to Ontario Craft Beer Week, on Saturday, June 22 in Toronto.
