Railway City anounces Platform 13 Pond Hopper release date
Railway City Brewing Co. of St. Thomas, ON today announced its Platform 13 winning English-style IPA, Pond Hopper, is slated for release Thursday, September 12.
Railway City’s Platform series competition winners receive a cash prize and the opportunity to brew a full sized batch of their winning beer at Railway City for retail sale and distribution at local establishments.. In 2012, Platform 12 featured locally grown beets and honey.
This years winner, Ryan Harrison of St. Thomas, took the top spot with his Pond Hopper IPA.
“Pond Hopper features an English Style IPA using a West coast Hop Burst Method. This delicious IPA also features a bunch of hops including Centennial, Cascade and Amarillo Hops along with 6 different Premium malts”, describes Railway City.
Pond Hopper will be released in 500mL bottles weighing in at 6.2% ABV and 45 IBUs during an awards ceremony beginning 7pm on September 12 at the St. Thomas brewery.
