Sawdust City Brewing previews three September releases
Gravenhurst – Sawdust City Brewing Co. will launch two returning seasonals and one new beer this September, outlined below with the brewery’s descriptions:
Sägemehl Stadt Festbier (5.3%) – “Fashioned after the traditional marzen lagers of southern Germany, Sagemehl Stadt is a rich, malt forward lager, perfect for the impending colder days of the fall season. Pouring a bright copper with a fluffy white head, Sägemehl presents aromas of toasted bread and light caramel. Smooth and easy-drinking, this beer has flavours of brioche, golden raisins, and a balancing noble hop presence. Sägemehl Stadt strikes the perfect balance between refreshing and nourishing.”
Available: September 13
The Blood of Cthulhu Imperial Stout with Raspberries, Cranberries, and Tart cherries (9.5%) – “After one year of hibernation in his undersea realm, Cthulhu has heard the call and has risen once again! So we’ve conjured up The Great Old One and created a beer in his honour. The Blood of Cthulhu is a massive Imperial Stout that weighs in at an impressive 9.5% abv. Brewed with a ridiculous amount of malt and a mixture of raspberries, cranberries, and tart cherries it burst with flavours of rich chocolate and tart, mouth puckering fruit. It pours as black as the blood of a malevolent demigod and throws off aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, and fresh fruit.”
Available: September 13
Fruits Of Eden Fresh Hop Pale Ale (5.5%) – “Bright, fresh flavours of the grassy wet hops dominate the palate. Citrusy lemon and cooling mint play on top of a light, biscuit malt base, that makes this one easy beer to drink. A wet hop brew. This means that the hops used are freshly harvested (used within 24 hours of picking). Brewed with hops (Centennial, Chinook, Columbus & Cascade ) harvested fresh Aug 29th from VQH farms in Eden, ON.”
Available: September 20
These releases will be available at the brewery and for ordering online.
