Toronto – Shacklands Brewing Co. today announced its new bricks-and-mortar brewery is set to open noon this Saturday December 10, 2016 at 101-100 Symes Rd.
Shacklands’ brewery shares the same building, but separate units, with Rainhard Brewing Co.

“The Shacklands” was a name used to describe the suburbs surrounding the old city of Toronto a century ago, with homes built by immigrant workers for their families. Originally, the fathers and husbands would build temporary shacks in a corner of the property then build permanent homes in the middle on weekends and holidays. The shacks would be then be torn down with the families moving into their new homes,” say founder Jason Tremblay and Dave Watts.
A grand opening is slated for Saturday January 21, 2017.
Operating hours have not yet been announced.
