Side Launch Brewing introduces rebranded Dark Lager
Side Launch Brewing Co. of Collingwood, ON – who merged earlier this year with Denison’s Brewing Co. of Toronto, ON – today introduced its first beer flying under the Side Launch banner – Dark Lager.
Released originally as Denison’s Dunkel in 1989 by Denison’s Brewmaster Michael Hancock, its recipe remains completely reserved as Dark Lager with Hancock now at the brewing reigns at Side Launch
“It is characteristically a little sweet in the start, followed by a good malty character and continuing with a long, complex finish. It is brewed with a majority of Bavarian malt, including special dehusked dark malt from Bamberg to give it unusual smoothness,” says Hancock.
Side Launch is currently in the building stages at its 200 Mountain Rd. location, approximately 8 minutes from Blue Mountain Resort, slated to launch early Spring 2014.
Denison’s Weissbier will relaunch in the months following under its new identity – Side Launch Wheat – followed by a new Pale Ale.
