Stone City Ales releases blended, wild, soured, barrel-aged Brewmaster’s Cuvée

Stone City Ales’ Layla, Brewmaster’s Cuvee
Kingston – Stone City Ales today announced the release of its Brewmaster’s Cuvée – Layla, a 10-month barrel-aged blend.
“Our brewmaster set out to create an elegant, balanced sour ale by selectively blending 2 different beers that had been aging in [Norman Hardy] Pinot Barrels,” says Stone City. “The result is the beautiful Layla, golden in colour – she’s funky, fruity and oaky with small, vivacious effervescence.”
It is a 60% blend of its Belgian Tripel – aged 10 months with Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and 40% Soured Saison – aged 8 months with Brettanomyces lambicus – combined to 7.5% ABV with 25 IBUs.
The final blend was bottle-conditioned in 750ml waxed bottles with wild yeasts from Escarpment Labs.
Layla is available now at Stone City’s retail store.
