Sweetgrass names Stephen Rich as brewmaster, opening brewpub
Toronto, ON – Sweetgrass Brewing Co. has announced that Stephen Rich, former head brewer for Beer Academy, has been named as their new brewmaster.
Sweetgrass Brewing initially launched their 4.9% Golden Ale in September 2013.
Additionally, the brewing company plans to build a brewpub in Toronto’s east end, near Coxwell and Gerrard, approximately a year from now. The founders of Sweetgrass Brewing are also the proprietors of The Auld Spot on Toronto’s Danforth.
Stephen Rich brings many years of home- and professional brewing expertise in addition to his qualifications as a BJCP-certified beer judge, Certified Cicerone, and Prud’Homme Beer Sommelier.
