Three Ontario brewers medal in Dublin Craft Beer Cup
Three Ontario brewers have brought home medals from this past weekend’s Dublin Craft Beer Cup, part of the 2013 International Craft Brewing and Distilling Convention in Dublin, Ireland.
International craft brewers were invited to compete within seven categories including Styles of British origin, Belgian and French, German, European/German, and New World style ales and lagers.
Silver medalists included Niagara College Teaching Brewery with both its Butler’s Bitter and Brewmaster Wheat, Spearhead Brewing Co. with its Belgian Stout, and Mill St. Brewery with both its Belgian Wit and Porter.
Mill St. and Spearhead also took home bronze medals for their Cobblestone Stout and Hawaiian Style Pale Ale, respectively.
Hilden Brewing Co., Ireland’s oldest independent brewery, took the competition’s top spot with its Twisted Hop pale ale.
