Toronto Beer Week announces Six Boroughs Bourbon Barrel-aged Rye Porter

Toronto, ON – Toronto Beer Week organizers today announces the upcoming releases of it’s Six Boroughs Bourbon Barrel-aged Rye Porter to celebrate its 2015 edition.

The 10% ABV Rye Porter, brewed by Amsterdam Brewery in Toronto, was aged nine months in Four Roses bourbon barrels.

“..we expect hints of caramel, vanilla and spice to overlay a rich malty background,” describes Toronto Beer Week.

“Have we rolled back the clock to pre-amalgamation? In a way we have – the current city of Toronto is comprised of the six boroughs of Etobicoke, York, North York, East York, Old Toronto and Scarborough – and as Toronto Beer Week is supposed to be representative of the whole city we wanted our beer to be available everywhere within its borders,” they add.

The limited run of 500ml bottles are slated to hit LCBO shelves this September 2015 for $7.95 each.
