Toronto Poutine Fest invades Beer Academy in August

On Thursday, August 22 from 5-10pm the gravy will flow at Beer Academy in Toronto during the city’s first festival centred around poutine.

400 poutine enthusiasts are expected to conviene at the Toronto Poutine Fest, as 5 of the cities top poutine establishments battle for top honour as Poutine King of Toronto, including Poutini’s House of PoutineGreat Burger KitchenLou Dawgs, and The Feisty Jack Mobile Food Co.

“The fact that Toronto hasn’t had a poutine festival yet is insane,” says cofounder Melissa Chien to the Toronto Star.

Ticket sales begin Friday, August 9 at 11am which for $35 (+HST) includes all-you-can-eat Poutine and three carefully paired 4oz Beer Academy craft beers. Additional beer, wine and spirits can be purchased separately at Beer Academy.
