Uxbridge’s Second Wedge Brewing looks to finalize brewery funding

Uxbridge, ON – Second Wedge Brewing Co. is looking to outside investors to help secure additional funding of $200,000 to reach its $800,000 target to begin construction on its downtown Uxbridge brewery.

“As much as this is about bringing a great beer brand to Ontario it s also about creating more buzz around our downtown,” says co-founder Joanne Richter to the Uxbridge Cosmos. “A well run brewery should be a financial success but it can also enhance our already vibrant town centre.”

A tasting room and retail store are planned as part of the brewery build.

“We just need to make those last critical connections to ensure we can move forward with our lease equipment purchases and buildout,” add Second Wedge founders to the paper. “…lots of investors are looking for this kind of opportunity. And we’re hoping to connect with local people who care as much about this town as we do.”
