Wellington adds east coast IPA to lineup

Guelph – Wellington Brewery today launched its new east coast-style Upside IPA as permanent fixture in its year-round beer line. It was first introduced in late 2016 as a Welly One Off.

“We’ve been brewing pilot batches non-stop over the past year, searching for a balance of late addition hops that compliment the oats and wheat in this malt bill. As an IPA lover, I knew we had to get this right and I think we did with this one” says Wellington brewmaster Marvin Dyck.

Brewed with Vermont ale yeast, oats, and flaked wheat, Wellington bescribes Upside IPA (6.8%) as having grapefruit, peach, and tropical fruit flavours with a hazy, unfiltered body and smooth moutfeel.

It rolls out to the LCBO, the Beer Store, grocery stores, and the brewery’s retail store in the coming weeks in 473ml cans for $3.25 and on draught across Ontario.
