Zoning amendment approved for Side Launch Brewing

Plans for a micro brewery in Collingwood are moving ahead.
On Monday night, council unanimously approved a zoning by-law amendment to allow Side Launch Brewing Company to build a brewery on the south side of Mountain Road just east of the 10th Line.
There are still a number of approvals needed including site plan approval.
The plan is for brewing and distribution on 15 acres as well as a retail store and in phase 2 of the project, an event room would be added.
